Le trimaran est une solution intéressante pour qui veut obtenir des moyennes très élevées pour un programme de croisière. La coque centrale très évasée procure des aménagements agréables avec deux belles cabines doubles, un grand carré, une cuisine avec la hauteur sous barrots, une table à cartes et des WC. A cela s'ajoutent des performances remarquables qui augmentent le plaisir et le rayon d'action, l'absence de gîte, un tirant d'eau réduit et une belle surface de pont.
Le Pulsar 36 possède une taille qui permet d'obtenir la certification A CEE ouvrant la porte aux traversées océaniques.
Ce plan bénéficie des derniers enseignements de la compétition avec des flotteurs longs et volumineux pour la sécurité et la puissance dans la brise. Les safrans sont dans chaque flotteur pour un meilleur contrôle et ne pas gêner l'échouage. La dérive sabre assure un prés efficace et un tirant d'eau minima.
Le gréement est particulièrement efficace et facile à manier avec lazy-jacks, enrouleur de foc et tangon fixe. Le mât rotatif en carbone gagne le maximum de poids dans les hauts. Un amateur pourra réaliser en 300 heures et à moindre coût un mât-aile en bois/époxy/carbone.
Les poutres sont réalisées en composite sur le même moule et peuvent être, soit démontables, soit stratifiées à la structure. Une nouvelle version tout carbone est à l’étude. |
A trimaran is a good choice for those who want to get very high performance on a cruising boat. The flared main hull offers nice cruising accommodation with two large double cabins, a convenient dinette, standing headroom at the galley, chart table and toilets. Add to this high performance, which increases fun and range, lack of heel, shoal draft and large deck area.
Pulsar 36's size allows her to get CEE A category given her ocean crossing abilities.
This design benefits from the latest racing developments with long buoyant floats safety and power in strong winds. The rudders are on the floats for optimum control and easy drying out. The deep daggerboard insures good windward ability and shoal draft.
The rig is extremely efficient and easy to handle with jib furling, lazy-jacks and bowsprit. The ideal to save weight aloft will be a rotating carbon mast. A homebuilder can built a cheaper wood/carbon/epoxy wing mast in 300 hours.
Beams are laminated on the same plug and may be either bolted or glassed on the hulls and decks. A new full carbon version is on the design board. |
